Cleantech Drink’s Company of the Month : CANETIQUE ELECTROCATALYSIS INC.

Canetique, located in Varennes, Quebec, is a spin-off technology company that has developed the first and only non-precious metal catalyst that generates power levels that can rival platinum-based fuels cells. Established in 2010 by its co-founders Eric Proietti and Michel Lefèvre, its main focus is the development and commercialization of non-precious metal catalysts, making fuel cells more cost competitive than those made using platinum-based catalysts and ultimately other existing electrical power generation technologies in a wide range of applications. Canetique is currently in its product development phase and is supported by provincial and federal government grants as well as the automotive industry.

Canetique works closely with the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique and its world leading research team in the field of non-precious metal catalysts for fuel cells. Canetique is also proud to be supported by MSBi Valorisation, and honored that its President, Didier Leconte, is also a director of Canetique. Its board of directors also includes a number of VC and start-up business veterans.
